Brands are opting for more sophisticated software as endpoint protection becomes a bigger concern. Enterprises identified endpoint security as a top priority spending area for 2016, along with access control and authentication and advanced malware protection. In a separate study, 66 percent of businesses saw third-party apps as the second-biggest threat to endpoint security.

Network access control strengthens security when employees access their company’s network from a remote location. Instead of just being asked to confirm their identity, employees will need to comply with their company’s security policy before they can enter the network. This might include the installation of anti-virus software on their endpoint device. Network monitoring software prevents employees from accessing highly-sensitive data, too.
