Sales Intelligence Good for Data Availability

G2 Crowd recently released its Fall 2017 Grid® for Sales Intelligence, finding DiscoverOrg to have the highest normalized satisfaction score of the 41 products. LinkedIn Sales Navigator turned out to have the highest Market Presence score at 87.

Categories of ranked features of sales intelligence software include Data Availability and Data Accuracy. Of these two feature categories, users rated Company Data Availability highest, with an average 86 percent satisfaction.

“Does this product have the amount of company data you require[?]” asks the G2 Crowd review form. “Company data includes data on companies’ leadership, financials, industry, products, etc.”

Company data availability is an integral aspect to any sales intelligence tool. It’s the feature by which sales intelligence software users are able to gather demographic information about the companies they are hoping to build relationships with. It helps users reach out to the right people.

Reviewers on G2 Crowd have some advice for those researching sales intelligence software, particularly as it pertains to finding company data and contact information.

“[LinkedIn] Sales Navigator is quite good at finding connections and maintaining networks,” reads a review by Michael L. “It provides an alternate network for reaching out to executives who refuse to answer their phones or email.”

Another reviewer highlighted DiscoverOrg’s quality of information, saying it almost got him into hot water.

“DiscoverOrg BY FAR has the best contact information I’ve ever seen for the biggest companies in the U.S. BY FAR,” wrote Michael D. in a review. “One time, a senior security staff member was upset with me because I had his direct line.”

The ethics of that situation, I’ll leave up to you.

ZoomInfo is another sales intelligence solution that has been reviewed many times. It received a satisfaction score of 89 on the recent Grid®.

“Zoom provides so much information in one-click or one profile, things I would otherwise have to search on my own through various entities and search engines,” writes Sidney C. in her review of the product.

Some reviews of reputable products warn users to take some information with a grain of salt. Emails can be outdated, or phone numbers might be incorrect. No sales intelligence tool has a 100 percent record of success. But if companies are looking to get in touch with people who can advance their business goals or processes, sales intelligence is, overwhelmingly, a smart choice.
